Hello Kolb Net Works clients and friends,
So far we are 4
for 4 for getting the newsletter out every month in 2003! This
month (further down in the newsletter) I share with you some ideas
I have on why people have trouble putting out a regular
newsletter. I believe the best way to convince our clients to
consider publishing an email newsletter is by example.
Welcome new KNW clients:
April has been
an active month for adding new clients. Welcome to Tom Springman
of German Roasted Nuts, Brett Hales of Norcen Industries (Jersey
Shore), Jim Wood and Peg Gahr of Selectrim (The James Wood
Company, Williamsport) and Dawn Walsh with Chemcoat Inc
(Montoursville) who are all getting new web sites from us.
Site News:
Congratulations
to the City of Williamsport
www.cityofwilliamsport.org and Lycoming County Government
www.lyco.org who, thanks to a SEDA-COG program unveiled new
web sites based on Dynamic Site Framework. Remember, KNW is
equipped to support municipal DSF based sites.
Intern News:
Good luck and
best wishes to Joe DeAngelis, spring semester intern from Lycoming
College. Joe will graduate in May. While at KNW, he created a web
site for PA PETS, a non-profit organization.
Newsletter tips:
One of the most
important considerations about committing to a periodic newsletter
is “Do I have the time to do it?” I’ve signed up for a number of
newsletters from small to midsized companies and never received a
thing. Perhaps the staff doesn’t have time, or doesn’t see a value
in taking the time. I’m guessing though that it’s often lack of
accountability. One of the KNW staffers, Carlos, said to me last
week, “Don’t forget about the April newsletter.” Bless his heart,
he was concerned. Of course, the newsletter is on my to-do list
and is on the KNW calendar, and is on my mind. But it sure helps
to know that the team holds me accountable for this task. Moral –
share your task information with other members of your team to add
another layer of accountability to the task.
As you start
your email newsletter address list, please include my email
address so I can see how you’re doing.
Regards,
-----
